Great, Not Grand

The youngest in the Smith family is celebrating her FIRST birthday this week and she recently celebrated surrounded by family. (BTW, that cake was a little too sweet and sticky for her liking...)

She is the sweetest little delight and has the cutest walk with her arms back and out to the sides, kinda like a penguin. 

But more importantly, with the next new generation and a new layer on the family tree, comes the question: what are the proper relationship titles?

Naomi and Danielle have worked out that Josey is their first cousin-once-removed.

So for us, Josey is either our great niece or our grand niece, which makes us either the Greats or the Grands. 

Of course we're going with Great Jenny and Great Jeff! 😎
