PWHL Takeover

After only 20 years of proving myself at Stars games, the other professional leagues are finally startin' to take notice!

Ok, not really. It's more like the Stars just loaned me out for a game. But whatever. A chance to do something different? I'll take it.

The Professional Women's Hockey League is just getting off the ground. And part of their "hey, look over here!" plan is a good old fashioned barnstorming tour!

So... since the Stars' staff knows hockey, and knows the building, the PWHL recruited a handfull of us to run their show: a bit of a mix of what they wanted to do with how we do it here.

The result? While not remotely close to an NHL level of play, a really good game between two evenly matched teams that included a hat trick by New York Sirens player Casey O'Brien en route to a 4-3 win over the Seattle Torrent. So... really fun! 👍

My result? A fat paycheck, a new experience, and a feather in the cap.
