Fairy Legends

It started about 9 months ago. I spotted cute fairy house figurines at the Dollar Store, so on a whim, I grabbed a couple thinking they would be a fun little surprise. I got home as Danielle and Ari were headed out to take Trixie on a walk around the neighborhood. I handed them the figurines with instructions to place them in one of the landscape beds on the trail. 

And just like that, a fairy village came to life!

I didn't think too much about it, but I did check the scene any time I happened to jog by the tree on the trail. 

And then one day...a new house appeared!

And then another day...a brand new fairy door!

And occasionally, all the houses and doors would be mysteriously rearranged. (I’m convinced there’s a “Mimi” in the mix who enjoys redecorating!)

I have no idea who else is contributing to this magical little project or how many neighbors are in on it. But I love it. And I’m grateful it has lasted this long. Somehow, the fairy houses have survived—whether because the mischievous kids in the neighborhood simply haven’t noticed or because they do notice but choose to respect the magic.

Hoping this tiny bit of whimsy is making the neighborhood feel a little more enchanted and putting a smile on someone's face!
