It is finally Trixie's turn to become double digits! (first Naomi, then Danielle)
Normally the birthday balloon fairy visits our house for every birthday, but not for Trixie! She runs and hides at the sound of balloons inflating.
So what is on Trixie's birthday list?
- Go for a walk
- Lots of pets
- A slow squirrel
- Determine her ancestors
Ok, so that last one is a thing. Dog DNA. But we didn't really want to spend the money, so instead google helped us find Trixie's match! This is not Trixie, it is a dog named Max, that looks remarkably like Trixie (now and as a puppy), and who has owners that did pay for the DNA test! (I totally agree with the German Shepard, Boxer and various Terriers!)
So, Trixie did not get a proper Smith birthday week, but she did get a trip to PetSmart!
After browsing the aisles, she ended up with a snazzy new collar, cool dog tag and yummy treats!
And her final present, which she's not [yet] thrilled about:
The latest in doggie fashion! Actually it's to quell Naomi from scolding Jeff, who walks Trixie every afternoon, even in the middle of summer when the ground is roasting hot. Now Trixie's feet will be protected (once she figures out how to walk normally in them!)
