All Fired Up

Another chapter in the classic rock training program...

Started the summer with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, ended it with Pat Benatar!

But this time it wasn't me! Though it does kinda feel like the dadding is paying off when Naomi asked to go to this show for her birthday. 😎

Hey, somebody's gotta show em: women rock too!

And rock she did! Accompanied by Neil Giraldo (her husband, kind of big deal himself), Pat Benatar still sounds great and is everything ya expect her to be.

Full of energy, the voice is rough, but still hitting the highs amongst her mostly raspy lows. Good stuff!

Giving the people what they want: THE HITS! And... Ring of Fire? Naomi rockin out to Heartbreaker, looks at me: Is this Ring of Fire??? 🤷 (I mean, hey, points for being 17 recognizing it)

Notably absent: Hit Me With Your Best Shot, as expected as it's known she doesn't play it live anymore.

NAOMI'S REVIEW: It was GOOD, but Ring of Fire was unexpected! And I liked the Beatles cover they through in there! My favorite song was Heartbreaker.
