As we have previously documented, there have been lots of changes under our roof in 2026. After the dust settled, the projects wrapped up, and everything that needed to get done was finally done, we found ourselves asking the obvious question: what’s next?
Well, after 31 years of marriage, I've learned a lot and believe it’s important to support each other’s passions. Thus, to celebrate properly and begin the transition to the next phase of life, we've decided, and I totally agree, that Jeff’s retro computer obsession can officially expand beyond the game room and dining room.
After careful evaluation, we’ve decided this next phase will involve expanding into additional territory by first reclaiming Naomi's room, shortly followed by Danielle’s bedroom for the purpose of creating a Classic Computing Annex and an Overflow Arcade Wing. Naomi is only home part-time these days, and Danielle is hardly around the house anymore since she got her license and discovered the joys of freedom. Their rooms are sitting there… full of potential. Just imagine the possibilities.
Some couples choose to travel for their anniversary, but since we’ve already traveled the world, it only makes sense that the next adventure is expanding our retro computing footprint and returning to the glory days of the 70s and 80s. The kids will still have space in the retro rooms as needed.
And before anyone calls the kids to warn them about losing their rooms…
Happy Anniversary to us. And happy April Fools.
