Oh, how I loved the creative, fun hair days! And all the togetherness. But alas, all good things come to an end, but usually because other good things take their place. Such is the case: Naomi is off at college being independent with her friends and Danielle is doing her own outing with Ari. That meant Jeff and I could do our own thing and eat at Mi Cocina and take in more Olympics! 🩷🤍💙
Valentines Day has come and gone. Hopefully everyone had a lovey day, or at least a moment of peace thrown in there somewhere. Here's a quick glimpse of our rather unconventional day.
Danielle and I had a Pinterest moment to kick off the morning. (Actually, Jeff was the one who provided the inspiration after seeing an online picture of a friend's daughter)
Jeff has a secret admirer at work?! (Ok, maybe not...it was just the company "fun committee" spreading love to the entire floor)
Cheese and crackers...my favorite! But wait, look closer...it's 80's-inspired cheese...Jeff's favorite!!
So, it's not unusual for us to eat out, as we do it every Friday and Saturday night. However, this was a bit different since we tried a new restaurant: The Rice Bar. What? No Mexican or Italian. I know. Crazy.
And the biggest twist of all? We decided to spend a little time with a couple Colony police officers!
Thankfully it was just a warning, from a new officer-in-training, who is very concerned about "wide right turns". Phew. Danielle and Naomi did get new police trading cards from the training officer. Love is in the air.
