This was a move in anticipation of Danielle turning 16 in November, and her needing a starter car. Where can we find a starter car: Naomi's Jeep Liberty! Thus began the hunt for a newer car for Naomi...

Jeff and Naomi both contributed effort into researching and tracking down cars and doing a couple test drives. When this particular car came on the radar, it seemed like a really good opportunity. After the test drive, they went back together to make a move. The car was at a dealership which claims to be "no haggle pricing". Well, that didn't stop Jeff. They spent over an hour playing the game, with the salesman going back and forth to "check with his manager". Naomi came in with a clutch move, when she pulled up a listing of another similar car (one they had looked at, but knew they didn't want). It was enough to make the salesman disappear and come back with a lower total price that included TT&L. SCORE!

While this Jeep model does not have the sunroof Naomi was hoping for, she is happy about everything else and super excited about the DVD player (which only plays while parked - ya know, because you might want to watch a DVD when you go camping in your Jeep).

In usual Smith fashion, signing day and car swapping has commenced and the internal legalese binding contract is official!

A really nice upgrade to her second car (which , by the way, is way nicer than my 2011 Honda).

Naomi sold the Liberty back to us after 3 years with only 12,500 more miles and a bit of new hail damage, but NO ACCIDENTS or significant maintenance issues. We'll take it!

And for the record, I think this now makes us a "Jeep Family" with 3 outta 4 cars. Startin' to think I might need an upgrade too...
