After 10 years, it is done. The final five members of Troop 8401 met for one last time, in a very unceremonious moment. The 2 OG members, Danielle and Livvi, plus Aubrey who joined midway through kindergarten, along with Emory who joined 2 years later, and Emma who mixed in recently when her troop disbanded, got together to eat Braums ice cream and quickly tap out. (I get the feeling it is not so cool to be a Girl Scout at this age...)
Bronze Award + Complete
I have loved my time as a Girl Scout leader, always hoping to positively impact a future generation. I am thankful to the girls, for showing up and bringing the fun and energy -- they were the heart of this troop. I appreciate the parents for supporting, driving, cheering, and trusting us with their girl. I will miss the camping the most, followed by the volunteer events. But now, I fold up my volunteer shirt and move into Girl Scout retirement.
All good things must come to an end, but we will be Girl Scout sisters forever continuing to make the world a better place!
