2024: Eliminated by Edmonton in game 6 of the Western Conference Finals

2025: Eliminated by Edmonton in game 5 of the Western Conference Finals

I mean, again, another great run. And yay for that. I know from working so many non playoff seasons, a deep run should never be taken for granted. But man... after picking up Rantanen, and the magic of the Finnish Mafia, I thought this was The Year. Alot of us did.

Get the fans involved and make Dallas feel like a hockey town! Pretty great, when they go right. And kinda funny when they don't. (you'd think they'd run themselves, but no)

A job I never wanted: the honor of assisting in awarding the Campbell Bowl to the other team. Talk about a mixed blessing.

UPDATE, June 6th: Today, the Stars fired head coach Pete DeBoer. I understand the frustration, and the need to do something to change things, but I disagree with this move, at least based on merit. The only coaches who've gotten more out of their teams the last 3 years are unavailable because they're in the Stanley Cup Final right now. So, the Stars won't be replacing him with someone better, just different. A personality hire maybe? Someone to spark an already deep roster? (Barry Switzer replacing Jimmy Johnson on the 90s Cowboys and winning a Super Bowl comes to mind) We'll see... 🤞
