| Rounding out the year with TWENTY 80s bands seen in 2024 |
I was talking to an AAC usher friend about my streak of 80s concerts when Cyndi Lauper came up. I told her I was thinking about it, but "I dunno... I'll be the only straight guy there. I don't think I'd even be able to tell any..."
"Whadda you care what they think?!?!"

Her interruption was so emphatic it actually kinda fired me up!
"Yeah! Say whatcha want. I'm going."

Cyndi Lauper has enough, and still sounds good enough to do a good couple hours. Plus, she's a storyteller! Every song comes with it's own anecdote, some funny, some serious, all entertaining. And you will never forget she's a New Yorker. How that speaking voice translates into that singing voice...? No idea. But they're both great.
