What started back in early August, has come to an end. Danielle (#6) has closed the books on her freshman season of school volleyball. And what an exciting journey it was!

2 Weekend tournaments
14 District games
Some wins (5). More loses.
Dozens of cool braids.
Exciting victories and near misses.
Visible improvement individually and as a team.
Amazing team work!
Priceless memories.
Danielle's favorite part was proving to the coach that she was a solid, reliable player and being selected to start all games and play all the way around. While she prefers playing defense in the back row, she did her part to block and hit when required.
My favorite moment of every game -- any time TC scores a point, Danielle's arms go up in victory with a little jump. Doesn't matter if she's part of the play or not, she celebrates literally every single point with an instant expression of joy! Her hands in the air. And then down for a quick team hug huddle.
I had grand visions of making a highlights video - taking clips from all the games, but reality: I don't have access to a good video editing app. 😞 Below was my initial attempt, before I was limited by size and speed and patience... (But all game videos are available on youTube!)
For posterity: The 2024 schedule where TCHS was aligned in Conference 5A, Region 2, District 12: 3 Frisco schools, 3 Carrollton schools, plus 1 Dallas school.
