UFL I

A few months ago, the 5 neighborhood framily couples decided to form a fantasy football league, and thus the Un-Football League (UFL) was started. (And I somehow became the commissioner.) We enjoyed weeks of friendly competition and healthy banter and taunting. The playoffs recently wrapped and guess who won? Yep, yours truly as team Cheeky Garden Snakes! It takes a bit of strategy and selection, but mostly a LOT of luck! (My scores were not great throughout the season, but I seemed to have the easiest path to victory, as I somehow managed to go against a team that was having an off-week.)

We celebrated with an end of season party (ie. just an excuse to get together and watch some football). The winner was announced and the championship banner was raised! (Thanks Jayroe Publishing)

We were happy to be inside, all warm and cozy, while the players and fans endured crazy -4 degrees, with the feels like at -30 in Kansas City! Cold enjoy to crack a helmet! Uh, no thank you.

There were also 2 birthdays to celebrate! Go big, or go home.
