15k Success

I DID IT! I did a hard thing (as one of the race cheer'ers called out as I passed by...). I completed The Colony Shoreline Trail 15k (9.3 miles) in under 2 hours (that was my goal), and I was not last - success! (finish, not last)

I've been training with Trixie the last few months, and her and I were a lot slower on our training runs, so I was super excited to see my split times, especially the first 4 miles! (11:21, my birthday) 😄 But I was super tired by the end and my pace certainly showed it!

It is always nice to sign up with friends, even if we didn't run together (as we are all at different speeds) -- but we all show up at the same place in the end!

Note for posterity: a female runner won 1st place overall (24 seconds ahead of the 1st male runner)!! When I saw them on their way back (it was an out and back route), the guy was ahead by about 15 paces, but she looked strong and focused! I'm sure it was my cheering that spurred her on.
