The Real Unreal

Feels like we're on a bit of a roll here...

After taking 6 years to visit our second Meow Wolf location (the build-up!), thanks to Naomi's birthday, it only took 3 weeks to make it to our third.
Meow Wolf Grapevine: THE REAL UNREAL
A house has appeared inside Grapevine Mills Mall.
Feels like deja vu all over again. But this isn’t a sequel or a reboot. This is something else. A kind of echo or loop revealing itself.
The story... Ruby and Gordon Delaney, along with their daughter Carmen, called this place home. However, after Ruby passed, Laverne Fuqua and her son Jared moved in and a blended family was created. That is, until Jared went missing.
And therein lies the mystery... what happened to Jared? His diary gives several clues, notably his fascination with Happy Garry, the name he gave to an unusual aquatic creature that only he could see.
If all this looks a little familiar, that's not a coincidence. The House of Eternal Return suggests that things repeat infinitely. Is this place an echo of that?
The Portals Bermuda Brrrrmuda, gateway to the Multiverse.
While the Delaney and Fuqua families didn’t know the Seligs, it's no surprise (and actually a cool reveal!) to learn that Lucious Selig (ugh, that guy) has something to do with what's going on here.
And the mystery of Jared's fate...
The Last Stop?
Is Lucious Selig part of the Convergence?
And now Jared Fuqua too?
Whereabouts: UNKNOWN

REVIEW: Third Meow Wolf visited, and our third mind bending experience. As always, being immersed in room after room of such creativity is overwhelming. Initially, not sure how we felt about the sameness of this installation with The House of Eternal Return. But after working our way through the story, and having it actually converge with those characters, we got it! Or did we? We're never 100% sure. But the mystery is what keeps us coming back!
NEXT UP: Meow Wolf Houston, opening 2024.
