Sensational 17

It's time for Naomi to be fabulous seventeen! And it is always fun that she typically gets to celebrate with family, a summer tradition she cherishes. Ask her what she wants: eating out at x, y, z. Who does she want to invite: family!

She marked two places off her list on her pre-birthday eve-eve.

Never too old to make a mini pizza from Papa Murphy's!

Wingstop...just like last year!

Subway turkey with lettuce, extra olives and extra cucumbers

In another pre-birthday activity, Naomi was able to sponsor a family visit to the-place-that-shall-not-be-named! Naomi was working (which she totally enjoys), while the others were able to enjoy the awesomeness that is this place!

And so today, on her actual birthday day, we celebrate the honoree! This is her final year "as a kid" and last chance to not be tried as an adult. Here's what turning 17 looks like in Naomi's world...

Finally open at Grapevine Mills Mall! (More to come...)

Birthday dinner at Babe's

A brand new hobby...learned 2 days ago via Mimi and youTube: crochet!

Birthday supplies from Joann's

Birthday freebie (plus a treat...)

I personally think this past year has been one of the most transformational in Naomi's trips around the sun. She has always been confident around family and close friends, but she definitely exceled with others, thanks to PALS, Crossfire and work. She continues to do fantastic in school and stands firm in her beliefs. She is respectful to others, knows how to work hard when required, seems to recognize all the good in her life and is a fabulous big sister. She is smart, kind and considerate, and funnier than I'll ever be! She brings a style all her own and an outlook on things that is unique and inspiring. This is one neat kid! Happy birthday, sweet Naomi! Keep learning and growing and lighting up this world as the you that you are!
