As for Earth Day 2014, keep doing all the green things you are already doing!
Take a walk around the block and carry a trash bag and gloves to do a little clean-up while you stroll.
If you happen to go shopping, remember to take your reusable shopping bag to eliminate a few extra plastic bags for the day.
Avoid paper and plastic cups and bottles -- choose something reusable that doesn't require processing and won't get added to the landfills.
Keep your lights off as long as possible -- open your curtains or blinds and go all-natural.
Plant a flower. Or better yet, choose a perennial plant that lasts more than just this season. Or even better than that, plant a tree for Arbor Day (this Friday, April 25).
Take a moment to watch the sunrise (6:49 AM CT) or sunset (8:03 PM CT)!
