An annual activity for students at Morningside is the Young Authors Conference. It is an opportunity for students to experience the entire writing process - from deciding on a story, writing the story, illustrating the book and then presenting it to classmates (and families, during non-Covid times).
The writing prompt for Danielle's fifth grade assignment: write about an animal or object that speaks, and have a moral to the story.
