Houstonian Holiday

Christmas was celebrated in Houston with the Browns this year. However, there was a new twist - a divide in the family. 😲 No, no, no drama. Here's the deal: Due to proximity across the globe, the Horn side of the family broke the "everyone together at the holidays" a long time ago. But the Smith side pretty much had everyone together for either Thanksgiving or Christmas every year for like the last 30 years. Until now. Everyone knew this was inevitable -- families grow, people move, circumstances change. So what happened in 2025 related to the Smith family? A sweet little baby girl was born making extended travel and being far away from home a bigger challenge! NOTE: We did actually all celebrate together at Thanksgiving, so perhaps this is not entirely new...though, it did feel different without some Karl representation at Christmas!

Scott being Scott, spreading laughter & joy!

Throw in Catholic Christmas Eve mass (arriving 1 hour early to find the place already 85% full), football, puzzles, neighborhood walks, Stranger Things, birthday & anniversary celebrations and we've got ourselves a traditional Smith family holiday! Hoping the good times, family memories and reason for the season continues throughout the new year.
