We're Off to See the Wizard

Family movie time again! It was about a year ago that the 4 of us joined the masses in the theaters and enjoyed Wicked (the movie). I remember enjoying the vibrant colors, stunning special effects and intriguing cinematography, as well the energizing music. It was a long one, but overall it made for a great moment of family togetherness.

Today, Naomi is home from college and Danielle is out of school so we are headed back to the theater for the sequel, Wicked: For Good. Reviews have been mixed, but looking forward to experiencing it regardless, as it is always a magical time in the comfy seats and big screen!

UPDATE: It was thumbs up from all of us! Not quite as good as the first one, but definitely redeeming moments and story line. Cool how they meshed it with the original movie and included familiar "scenes" with Dorothy, the lion, the tinman and the scarecrow. The music was enjoyable (all except for the one overly emotive, slightly cringy moment (in my opinion) from Fiyero singing to Elphaba). The ending was satisfying. I definitely noticed political undertones throughout - especially when the Wizard is talking about the people not believing the truth.

And also for posterity, please notice Danielle's seat number:

Six Seven. If you know, you know.
