Pizza Sandwich

For posterity: A glimpse at the ordinary aspects of daily life of a ninth grader.

For all of 9th grade, Danielle has opted to take her lunch to school, as opposed to buying it. This means, every school night, she prepares her lunch for the next day. This typically includes, strawberries, pistachios, chips, fruit snacks and a sandwich. She started school with turkey & provolone cheese sandwiches, but at some point the turkey started grossing her out. 🤷 

So she switched, to pizza sandwiches, and that has been the staple for months now! Butter, bread, sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. The cooking vessel: our very old, but rugged George Foreman Grill.

Butter the outside of the bread...

Place bread, butter side down, on the grill and carefully spread sauce.

Add cheese, pepperoni and more cheese, and then place the other bread on top, butter side out. Close and cook for 2 minutes. Watch a couple of youTube shorts. Remove from grill to let cool. Watch a few more minutes of youTube shorts. 

We are a family of routine. 

Disclaimer: Danielle does throw in Dino Nuggets to mix things up everyone once in a while, yet she continues to resist the idea of taking the easy route and buying her lunch.
