30 Day Pass

Never pass up a good deal!  Even...if...it's...from...Taco bell. 😎 We put that philosophy to the test for the last couple months.

It started back in October when Taco Bell briefly presented an offer to purchase a Taco Lover's Pass for $10, which allowed you to get a "free" taco every day for 30 days in a row! Oh yes we did! We bought 4 passes -- one for each of us. 

It became a ritual for 30 days for us to coordinate a daily run to various Taco Bells nearby -- we'd stop at whichever one we were going to be near, or passing by on the way home from work. "OK everyone -- time to order your taco!" Turns out, it was pretty cool -- because there were 7 taco variations to choose from: original hard-shell, soft taco, regular or supreme or even the Doritos Locos taco! And lucky for me and Naomi, we could swap out the beef for potatoes! 

NOTE: We would literally get just the taco -- so if Taco Bell was hoping for us to add on extras to make a profit, they certainly did not sway us! Although, technically they made 33 cents a day from each of us. Not sure what the actual total cost is for ordering a taco (including packaging, sauce packets and a wad of thrown-in napkins).

And then...as soon as that initiative ended:

WHA?! Honestly, not all of us were as excited about this offer (although the 6 different dipping sauce options was tempting), but if we're going to pick up 2 orders of "free" fries, why not just go ahead and get daily fries for all 4 of us! (...because that's a lot of unhealthy stuff, that's why not!!) But apparently good deal trumps good health sometimes, and so, our daily trek to Taco Bell has continued for another month! 

The satisfaction is waning a bit on the fries, but by golly, we're gonna maximize our 30 items for $10! And on the bright side: we won't be buying napkins/paper towels any time soon!!

The question remains...what offer is going to show up in our Taco Bell app next!?
