Another year for me, another Tri-town Amazing Race for us! Our 5th one, in fact. (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022) However, this one was not the same because it was run without Naomi (she was working that day). We carried on the best we could without her.
A couple of the stops were repeats from last year, including at the fire department ...
and police department.
And speaking of police, we had an interesting encounter this year for the first time! (NOTE: At the start of the the race, they tell everyone that you must follow all traffic rules while driving during the race.) We left the 9th pitstop, just ahead of another team. They caught us at a red light, and after the light turned green, they zoomed around and jumped back in front of us to make a quick left turn. Surprise for them: a police officer witnessed the reckless driving / speeding move and signaled for them to pull over. They ended up finishing behind us by about 15 minutes.
Let's just say, it's a good thing Jeff was driving the whole time and not me!
