All good things must come to an end, and what a great 8th grade volleyball season Danielle had! She started off as #4, and after the first game, she earned the coveted #1 jersey as libero! She consistently played her role to receive the serve or opposing hitters and pass to the setter. She was challenged by a few powerful servers and kill shots from Downing and Creek Valley, but she never gave up and always wanted to take those on and get better.
Griffin finished the season with a record of 3 wins, 5 loses. Not quite what they had hoped for, but the team definitely had many exciting moments and they can celebrate the progress they made.
Danielle did a nice job leading the team in positivity and encouraging others, in their victories and in their losses. Her head was always in the game, and she was quick to cheer someone on or help someone move past a not-so-great play. She had a ton of fun playing and being with her teammates, and I suspect is sad to see it end.
But for now, we're left with good memories and game videos from a fellow volleyball mom.
And a couple favorite highlight reels!
