Regrets

I love exploring 80's retro stores and museum exhibits. It takes me back to all my favorite childhood toys I treasured and spent hours playing with. However, it also really makes me wish I had held on to those most prized possessions! I have no recollection of when my favorite items left my possession - I don't explicitly remember getting rid of them, but over time as I got older, I suspect they just kept moving further away from me.

I'm not sure which I miss the most out of the three mentioned below, but oh how I wish I had my Cabbage Patch Kids doll, Corey Beth. I'm not even sure I have a picture of it from back in the day. This one felt vaguely familiar when spotted on the shelf at the 80's store we visited recently in Denver...

And if only I had held onto all the Strawberry Shortcake dolls I had. I'm sure the scent would be long gone, but to have the originals would be comforting. At the 80's shop, I recognized and remembered several that I owned: Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Meringue, Angel Cake, Blueberry Muffin, Orange Blossom and Huckleberry Pie. (They look a little creepy when not in the original box and likely having been played with!)

My Garfield collection was pretty extensive and probably the one I held onto the longest. I had dozens of books, the complete bedsheet set and several Garfield stuffed animals, plus Odie! But all are long gone by now.

Yes, I'm sure I could find most of the above on Ebay, but alas, it just wouldn't be quite the same.

NOTE: I have intentionally held on to many of Naomi and Danielle's toys, just in case, hoping I did keep the one's that they will remember the most when they are an adult browsing the 2000's retro shop!
