CHAMPIONS!

Two years ago, Danielle entered the world of volleyball for the first time. The journey has continued through a few seasons and many hours of practice, which ultimately led to a championship moment! Yes, the Firecrackers seized the top victory! And here's the image that captured the very moment (that's me jumping on the right!):

But first, the Firecrackers had to get through a few other teams, starting with Game 1 against the Tigers. The team felt pretty good about their chances here, but they were reminded not to take anything for granted - every point still mattered! NOTE: Danielle's 5-serve streak starts at about 2:45, a fun run at starting around 5:25 and a super save near 11:25.

The biggest challenge was to get past the first place team, the Carrollton Knights. It would not be easy, but every single girl brought their very best to this moment, and teamwork did make the dream work!

It wasn't over just yet, as there was one more team standing in the way -- the Tornados, which is the team that practiced next to the Firecrackers every Thursday night at the rec center. This was a friendly rivalry with a team we knew well.

One of the main goals of the season was to get real game-time experience, something that cannot be simulated in practice. By going all the way to the end, the team played every possible game and made each moment count! So proud of the progress made!
