Near & Far

I think I've defeated the old man eyes! At least for a while...

Multifocal contacts are basically the contact lens version of progressive eyeglasses. Imagine a circular lens with a focal point in the middle for reading, surrounded by focal lengths for increasing distances closer to the edge.

The result provides the eye with the ability to focus a various distances, not always perfectly, but good enough.

Of course, that's once they're in! NO SMALL TASK (lordy, I had no idea)

It's taken a couple weeks, but I can finally get em in and out without nearly blinding myself, losing them, pinching my eye tissue (gah!) and/or scratching my eye surface. So, in other words, success!

I can see without having to look thru constantly smudged glasses. Yes!
