More band!

Danielle's band schedule has once again kicked into high gear! They are feverishly preparing for UIL competition. That means playing often wherever they can. 

It started with a preview at Griffin Open House night:

 Simple Gifts 

 

An extra unique opportunity -- parents were invited to watch the band practice the "sight reading" portion of the UIL competition. The director has 3 minutes to review the music, and then the band has 7 minutes to learn it and quickly practice. They nailed it!

Well done, Danielle and the Griffin band! Fingers crossed that your pieces are well received at UIL and that the recordings impress the committee that selects the middle school attendees for the December 2023 Chicago band convention!
