Disney Magic

Going to Disney World had always seemed like a nightmare to go during Spring Break. All crowd calendars showed the parks as black -- indicating you should stay away! However, it was now or never, so we did it. And turns out, yes, it is VERY busy, but it was still manageable. (Especially, when you have a detailed planner like Jeff figuring out the day!)

And so, it was 7 years ago when we were last at Disney World Magic Kingdom. Back then (on a non-Spring Break week), it was much more about the princesses and the kid-friendly rides. The princesses did not really make a play this time, but all the classsic rides were still a must-do.

Carousel of Progress

Corny Jokes on Jungle Cruise

Movin' along on the People Mover

Enjoying A Small World

The Haunted Mansion is a big player in our family...and we managed to ride it twice.

Another repeat: Tiki Room. Although, I think it's the Dole Whip (and no line!) that makes this one a repeat!

Space Mountain would have been a repeat ride, however, Jeff and Naomi and Danielle were lucky to ride it even once because it kept closing throughout the day!

Naomi introduced us to a new experience: pin trading. She had read about it and seen it on youtube, and talked about it for months, but never really followed through until the last day! She made it happen -- she is determined. She purchased a pack of 7 princess pins, and then visited nearby stories throughout the day to trade for better options.

Another Naomi idea was Disney-bounding: dress like a character, but not too much like the character (to be confused with real cast members).

Danielle as theQueen of Hearts

Naomi as the Cheshire Cat

Naomi and Danielle spread a little joy while eating dinner above Small World -- lots of waves and a few long-distance games of Rock-Paper-Scissors!

Jeff again had fun with the features of the Disney app, when we were near a variety of rides.

We managed to time our family photo as the parade was coming by...Thanks, Minnie!

While the new Tron ride is not officially open to the public, Jeff managed to sneak in for a closer look, and for a pre-crowd picture!

Another jam-packed, fun-filled day concluded with an amazing Disney-caliber music and fireworks show!

Except, we didn't want to leave yet -- we had another hour of park time! So we spent about 30 minutes swimming upstream in a sardine-like space, trying to make our way back to a couple rides! We tucked in behind some other brave souls and eventually made it out of the crowd. Good times to wrap up yet another wonderful family vacation!
