Birthday + Circus = Fun

Naomi's birthday fun continued with the obligatory dinner outing to Mercado Juarez. Sopapillas are extra yummy on your birthday!

 

After dinner, we headed downtown for the Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus. The girls enjoyed the pre-show activities. Those costumes sure are big and heavy!

 

It's super cool to get an up-close look at the elephants! Mabel, an 8-year-old Asian elephant, was preparing to paint a picture.

The lights and music and action continues to impress as a zillion things happen at the same time! People spinning in the air, acrobats flipping across the floor, performers dancing and clowns being goofy -- what do you watch?!

 

We attended on the official "Scout" night, so Naomi got to hang with some of her fellow Girl Scouts, a little added birthday bonus.
