If we believe our calendar, it's Sunday right? I mean, it starts a new line and all - that's pretty official.
But according to verbiage (ew), Sunday is part of the weekEND. The last part actually. So that'd make Monday day 1 then, right?
What gives?
When I consulted Dr. Google, it seems that both are correct...depends on your particular beliefs. m/g

ReplyDeleteIf it helps, over here they have an expression when talking about dates - w/c - which stands for "week commencing". As in, "I'm free to meet on any Wednesday from w/c 2nd June" - and the date used to denote the week is always a Monday. But of course that's at work, so it would be weird if people used Sundays as a reference point.

Oh and my Android calendar has Monday on the far left starting the week.
