Fairy Tea Party

Naomi and I attended the Fairy Tea Party at our local library. The staff did a great job and we had a lot of fun learning tea etiquette, eating yummy treats, drinking tea, and watching a short ballet performance. (Oh, and we won the flower and bear centerpiece on our table!)

 Naomi was most impressed with the fairy outfits, sparkles and jewels!

I was impressed that Naomi actually tried the hot tea (not the usual lemonade "tea" that we drink at our home tea parties). She claimed that she liked it and she did have several polite sips, but her cup was pretty full when we left! I think she simply enjoyed scooping and putting in the pink fairy sugar.

    Sometime maybe Naomi should try black tea with milk and sugar, British style (decaf). The milk reduces the harshish taste (I think it's the tannins, maybe?) I never understood why anyone woukd drink tea until someone introduced me to taking it with milk.
