The Firecrackers (Danielle's volleyball team) made it to the playoffs! Ok, all the teams made it, but it still sounds good! Their team finished in 6th place out of 9 teams, so they faced off against the 3rd place team in their final match -- and my oh my, it was really close! The Firecrackers lost the first set, rallied in the second set (totally catching the other team off guard!) and then made a great effort in the third set coming up just a little short. It was definitely an exciting game (even with a touch of gamesmanship from the other side...got a bit tense!) A very exciting finish to a super fun year!
But really isn't that what it is all about -- the friends and the fun and the memories?? Of course! And Danielle and team definitely closed out the season with some fun! Coach Katy hosted the girls for an end of season party:

It was neat to see Danielle go from a rookie player to a contributor on the team. She had a fabulous coach and supportive teammates -- we're looking forward to another round in the future!
