Broadening Their Horizons

So far, our kids have led pretty animal deprived lives. Naomi's seen a few goats and sheep up close, but hasn't been to the zoo yet (don't worry, it's coming soon), and Danielle's experience is limited to Amigo. So a couple weeks ago, since the weather was so nice, we decided to broaden their horizons a bit.

We took em out to an equine sanctuary not too far away where they could check out some bigger animals. Danielle was pretty indifferent ("so what, they're big dogs, right?"), but not Naomi. She couldn't get enough of watching em eat, play...
and RUN!

There's always time for learning though. During a few of the slower moments, Naomi counted the animals and we talked about how some numbers were more lucky than others. I call these Life Lessons: the key to good parenting.
