Closing 7/11

Hooray! Naomi and Danielle have made it to the end of 7th and 11th grade. And wow, what a fabulous year it was -- definitely one for the books for both of them, seriously! (NOTE: I can see all the growth and greatness coming from them, it's the Gen Z slang that I don't quite get...Iykyk)

Danielle continued to soar through middle school with calm and grace. She excelled academically in every class (and completed her high school language credit) and contributed to the school sports stats in volleyball, basketball, cross-country and track. She racked up volunteer hours for National Junior Honor Society at school, church, Girl Scouts and beyond. She steered clear of the drama and strengthened friendships by playing the role of group mom and therapist (sippin tea). She succeeded at being a fantastic non-middle school'er. She's finna enjoy an easy summer after all that great effort. Danielle slaps!

Naomi slayed 11th grade -- making huge strides in so many areas. As a result of PALS (which started with a few rough days), she came out of her shell and developed fun new friendships. She already had really good study habits, but mastered them even more with a heavy load of 4 college dual-credit classes at once. (I've got this, Mom). She landed a great new job that she thoroughly enjoys and excels at. She's demonstrated mounds of independent confidence not seen before (she's always been a confident kid, but it's different now, well, except for the Goosebumps hoodie.). Glow up, Naomi! You hit different. And I'm your stan.
