I thought it was very good. Formulaic (maybe even to the point of being a remake), but in a good way. I felt like I did when I was 7 and saw the first Star Wars. And I think kids who watch it now will feel that same way. It will suck them in the way the originals did to me, but the prequels failed to do to anyone.
We just saw it. I liked it, but it definitely was a mashup of the original trilogy. So much that when it comes out on DVD I feel like doing a shot for shot comparison.... but I enjoyed it and will definitely see it again. We took John and Christopher... John got it but it was still a little long for him. Christopher was done less than halfway through...
