I'm not sure if this is a kid thing in general or a Naomi thing, but Naomi certainly has her own style for things! I'm constantly amazed and laughing out loud with the things that she does almost daily. Here, I share of few of those moments...and for the record,
it's all completely on her own!
It's not totally obvious from this picture, but occassionally when dressing herself, [all] her clothes end up backwards. When we try to tell her this, she assures us that it's OK and that she wants it that way. Perhaps she'll be starting her own fashion trend...or wait, wasn't that already tried back in the early 90's by Kris Kross??

She'll differentiate herself by pairing her backwards look with slippers! She believes in comfort with her fashion.

She's already practicing with her first model. Danielle is more than willing to participate.

Besides fashion, eating is another area where Naomi does things her own way. On occasion, she'll get bored eating at the table and instead ask to sit on the kitchen counter and eat at the bar. It made her dinner of sweet potatoes and pickles with mustard a little extra special.

Black olives
continue to be a favorite snack. Not sure if for the flavor or for the fun!

But one thing that is definitely done for fun is blowing bubbles in her milk. Naomi also decided to test the bubble-making properties of water and apple juice too...all at the same time!

She is definitely developing her own mind and her own style, and we're having fun marching along with her!
I say it's a girl/Naomi thing. Even though he's a bit older, Kai could care less about any of those things. But if you need someone to inspect any switches, knobs, remotes or anything with any type of movable part, He's Your Man!
ReplyDeletethanks for the info and update....it should make it easier to feed her when she is here.....
ReplyDeletehow did she come up with mustard, pickles and sweet potatoes - no wonder she doesn't eat when she is here - i don't think i would have ever come up with that combination...

John's latest is to wear one of his green Wall-E crocs and one of the blue crocs you gave him together. Usually on the wrong feet...
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how they start expressing their independence!
I do remember loving to blow chocolate milk bubbles. Actually, I might have to try that tomorrow - it's been a while.
