At last, Naomi could live out her (current) fantasy of becoming Ariel (The Little Mermaid).
And after some fun on land, she was ready to commune with her own kind. Prince Eric (that's me) bravely (that's me) charged into the waves to save her over and over again. (from Ursula, not any actual sea creatures, though I guess Ursula would be a sea creature if she were real, but I digress...)
Don't worry, Jenny got her chance to play along too. Whether she wanted to or not.
And speaking of sea creatures, we kinda lucked out with daily views of sting rays and dolphins swimming by in the relatively shallow water. Pretty cool.
This trip also marked Danielle's first taste of the ocean (literally). She was content to sit on the shoreline and had a good time watching her feet sink into the sand every time the tide washed in around her.
Of course, that kind of exertion can really wear a person out, and there's no better cure than lounging in your favorite beach chair and sippin on a cold one while listening to the surf.
So, no sunburn, the sharks missed, and a good time was had by all.
Pensacola marked the furthest point in the journey, but the beach was only half the reason for road trippin 700 miles east...
Danielle and I had similar beach experiences. I love sitting in a beach chair, sippin a cold one and listening to the surf!! :)
