We're now in that half way point between Spring & Summer where it's too early to put away the big blanket on the bed, but too early to pull out the lighter one. It's kinda disturbing my sleep. I know, terrible right?
I've been coping this week using the big blanket and the foot regulation method. Ya know, if it's too hot under the blanket, stick one foot out. Two feet if it's really hot. It's worked pretty well until this last week when every night I went to sleep hot.
So why not change to the lighter blanket you ask? Because I'd be too cold by morning of course! (geez, what are you a newbie?) I did try it the other night, but with the house cooling off overnight and the ceiling fan above the bed, it was pretty chilly by morning and I woke up earlier than usual. Maybe I'm wierd, but something about cool air blowing on my whole body (the light blanket is a holey mesh) kinda makes it hard to snooze.
So, what to do... Stick with the big blanket, go to sleep hot and wake up cozy. Or switch to the light blanket, go to sleep comfy and wake up cold. No good options. Unless...
Maybe I can get Jenny to switch my blanket in the middle of the night! I mean, as long as she's up with Danielle anyway, what's the harm in asking?
Maybe I can get her to change my diaper too!

ReplyDeleteWhy do you have the ceiling fan on? Surely you should just turn that off?
ReplyDeleteWe have a heavy duvet (13.5 tog) and a light one (4 tog). Last summer it never got warm enough to switch from the heavy to the light. That was really sad.
We use our summer blanket all year round and just add a down comforter in the winter. I took the comforter off too early. We add Olga's red and white afghan on top.
