My day in 2010

I was greeted this past Sunday morning with big grins and hugs from Naomi and Danielle. Then Chef Naomi and Jeff prepared a tasty breakfast-in-bed, with homemade waffles and a variety of toppings! (Not too mention, a clean kitchen...just like in the Berenstain Bears Mama's Day Surprise book! Naomi gets all of her gift ideas from books...)
Add to that a full tank of gas and errands run for me at Home Depot, plus my favorite kid-free outing to the grocery store, and hallelujah, it was a happy day! Big thanks to Jeff, Naomi and Danielle for making me feel special and loved.

I am so glad to have celebrated "my day" with the ones that let me be their mom! It sounds so cliche, but everyday I continue to be thankful for my role as a mom and the wonder and excitement that comes along with it. Even the challenging and trying [3 1/2 year old] moments that creep in and test my patience to the limit are totally worth it for all the laughable stunts, creative games, and goofy stories that Naomi comes up with and for all the smiles and discoveries that Danielle now experiences. I am so fortunate and blessed!
